Solo Acoustic

I play a solo acoustic set for breweries, bars, restaurants, and private events.

Although I play a handful of originals, most of the songs are covers of 70s, 80s, and 90s rock (Creedence; Tom Petty; Violent Femmes), blues (Muddy Waters; SRV), folk (Gordon Lightfoot; Richard Thompson) and country (Willie Nelson; Dwight Yoakam).

I have reasonable rates, and I provide all of my own professional grade equipment including Martin guitars, Sennheiser microphones, and Electro-Voice speakers.

Full Band

I love to play with a full band, and work regularly with a talented bass player and drummer.

Our set as a band is similar to my solo acoustic set, but with additional depth.

Our drummer plays electronic drums, so we retain complete volume control. We are able to play in very small venues with controlled volume because of this.

We have reasonable rates, and we provide all of our own professional grade equipment including an Electro-Voice PA system with twin 18″ subwoofers.

About Me

I have been singing and playing guitar since I was a child. My father was in a local band when I was growing up and I sang with his band at many bar gigs starting at about age 8.

Throughout school I played a few different instruments including drums in the band and double bass in the orchestra. But my primary instrument was always guitar. In high school I played in a punk rock band, and then several cover bands during college. I also got the opportunity to study guitar in the music department of the university I attended.

I love to perform live in venues across the Denver, Colorado metro area. I have reasonable rates, and will play from one hour to three hours depending on the venue’s needs. I arrive on time, sober, and ready to play.

I have a low-key, low-volume style that complements many small venues where people go to drink, talk, and have a good time. I consciously try to be present but not overpowering.

I play Martin acoustic guitars with L.R. Baggs Anthem pickups. One guitar is a D-28 six string and the other guitar is a D12-28 twelve string. In my solo acoustic set, I play through an Electro-Voice PA system and with the full band we play through an Electro-Voice PA system with twin 18″ subwoofers. Either way, I guarantee excellent sound quality.

My Commitment to You

I put on an engaging, yet low key, show. Whether I am playing solo acoustic or with a band I make it a point not to overpower the audience: people come to bars to drink and talk, after all! Unless the band is the main event, live music can and should be in the background.

You run a business, I run a business. I show up on time, with professional grade equipment, and ready to work. I make it easy for you by designing and providing posters if needed.
