After a long three months of no restaurants, bars, or public gatherings, it is great to start seeing places open up again. One of those places is The Berg Haus, a locally-owned bar and grill in Castle Pines. I will be playing an acoustic set on their patio this Saturday, 6/13/20, from 4:30 to 6:30. It should be a beautiful afternoon with good food, good drinks, good friends, and good cheer. Hope to see you there!
My friend Patrick D. owns Lincoln Station in Lone Tree, Colorado. Usually Lincoln Station hosts live music at least twice per week: a Friday open mic and a Saturday night set. Of course, due to the coronavirus, Lincoln Station has not been able to host live music since March.
But Lincoln Station is still doing takeout, and Patrick had this great idea: host live music on Facebook Live, and play that over the in house sound system while folks are picking up their takeout! And, of course, anyone can tune in from home as well.
So I will be playing a 30 minute Facebook Live set, courtesy of Lincoln Station, this Thursday (4/23/20) from 7:00 to 7:30. All you need to do is go to https://www.facebook.com/lincolnstationco/ a little before 7:00 on Thursday and look for the “live broadcast post.”
Even better, stop by Lincoln Station for takeout and help support a local business that itself supports a vibrant local music scene.
Hope to see you there!
Not yet anyway. I had a great time playing a short acoustic set last night at Lincoln Station in Lone Tree, Colorado. Here is a video of me performing one of my original songs, “Haven’t Failed at Life.”
Thanks to Attimo in Denver for inviting me to play a two hour solo acoustic set on Thursday, March 5, 2020. I will be playing some new material, including a fingerstyle version of the Eagles’ Peaceful Easy Feelin’ and Richard Thompson’s Beeswing. Looking forward to it!
I spent some time in the studio last week recording three songs.
The songs are covers that I really enjoy playing: Handle Me With Care (Traveling Wilburys); Went Down Swingin’ (Tom Petty); and Dirty Old Town (The Pogues). These were recorded with a full band including bass, drums, piano, and mandolin.
Tony Antonio from Imagine Sound Studio in Littleton, Colorado did a great job with the recording and mastering. He also runs a comfortable and friendly studio with top-notch gear and reasonable rates. I highly recommend him!
I will be posting these three songs soon, after I have arranged for proper licensing.
Thanks very much to Attimo in Denver for hosting me as their first-ever live performer last Thursday, February 6, 2020! Attimo is a new winery serving several varieties of wine from their own suppliers in Italy. They have a friendly tasting room in LoDo with a great staff and nice crowd. I had a great time playing a two hour solo acoustic set and I look forward to playing at Attimo again!
